Nice to hear another person on here's got United. Hopefully racing on the United server will pick up a bit soon as the server's almost always deserted.
For car models and skins Panza you need to earn some coppers and look at the manialinks or head for the Carpark: http://www.trackmania-carpark.com/.
Differences between demo and full game? Didn't know there was a United demo. Going by demos for previous TMs though I expect the amount of blocks available is severely limited and online play is provided only by a few servers set up by TrackManiacs so tight that they won't buy the full version. Old demos were also limited to one environment but from what you've said the United one's different. _________________

Hi Panza; you can create tracks in both versions but you can only edit those for which you have the password (if the author has set one). The difference is that there are a few more blocks in United (in the stadium version, e.g. slopes, flat surfaces, grass checkpoints, dirt) and then all the different blocks from the various environments. And as mad says, you'll need to buy one of the full versions (which you have done!) to get a CD key. I bought TMU but rarely play it because I don't like most of the environments, BUT the environments I do like are better than TMN.
(edit: I put dull versions, not full versions! This was a genuine, possibly freudian, typo.)

Mad is right TMU is very pretty but the racing doesn't seem to be as close, not sure why but it never is.
The new environments are probably what set it apart, I love the dirt track environment it makes for interesting racing. Coast is infuriating because the handling isn't noob friendly but once you adapt to it you want to master it even though you don't like it. Most of my wins come on coast and I loathe that environment with a passion that cannot be quantified.
In saying all that I haven't played TMU for a week just been on nations because I prefer the competition. _________________
