Thought I'd better start a new thread rather than continue the discussion in "Shoutouts and introductions".
I like to listen to loads of stuff really, if it sounds good!
Mainly into punk/ska, indie and some metal.
Fav bands atm:
The Killers
NOFX
The Ting Tings
Does it offend you, yeah?
Hadouken!
Enter Shikari
Dragonforce |

That Threads been missing all the time
Since I became 18 the music I hear changed...before I've mostly heard metal: System of a Down, Metallica, KoRn, RatM, Refused, Soil, Dope etc...
not to forget nice guitar music like: The Offspring, NOFX, Ramones, (old albums of) Green Day, Alien Ant Farm, Social Distortion etc...
But, when I became 18 I discovered Modest Mouse - for the next 6 months I didnt need anything else , though now I like music the most if it's as unique as possible:
Wolf Parade
Sunset Rubdown
Hellsongs
My Baby Wants To Eat Your Pussy (err...sorry, thats how they're called)
Poni Hoax
...only to mention a few |

The musings of Cheese, part one...
All kinds of stuff, but mostly rock and indie, I don't keep up with music much now but within the last couple of years I've amassed a small collection of CDs from bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Franz Ferdinand, the Kaiser Chiefs and so on. A lot of the music I like has been influenced by the games or TV it appears on. For example, I bought Siren Song of the Counter Culture by Rise Against because Paper Wings was on Burnout 3 (still one of the best racing games ever in my opinion) and Give It All was on Need For Speed Underground 2. I also picked up Fatboy Slim's Why Try Harder for a few quid off Amazon because a lot of his stuff's much loved by people who pick background music for TV programmes. Bea's post on the music she listens to made little sense to me but I recognised the word "Noisia" because Seven Stitches is on WipEout HD (a game where any other kind of music wouldn't work). Dance music isn't usually my thing, especially if it has lots of lyrics, is a murder of a well-known song or is that so-called hardcore stuff. It's probably easiest therefore for me to describe the music of that type that I don't mind as being electro instead of dance. _________________
