ok, I've been promising this for ages so here goes...
The server costs each month are...
£15 for broadband bandwidth = 100GB last month
£10 for hardware ie the cost of a machine and router spread over 3 years. current = an asus laptop which runs at approx 25% processor usage when busy.
£5 a month for the forums and email which run on a different shared webserver and connection. (3GB last month)
£3 a month for ventrillo
Something for electricity.
Monthly total = £30-£40
All donations go to lighten the load and help to fund the server which is otherwise funded by myself and my business.

Nice one, good to know how much it costs to run this circus (not counting all the time you guys spend in labour organising GP's though)
Could always let us know if any upgrades are required you might get donations for new gear that way _________________

Mad,
I am sue a lot of people would be happy to donate a set amount a month or quarter to help out. Some of us need nothing else but you to continue in the same way but how about those that donate being given membership of a group or club or team that has special privelages or summit. An incentive to donate will always help swell the coffers.
I am not suggesting you turn this into a "clan" as it works well as it s but you have a large following that i am sure would and, in my opinion, should help the cause.
I am happy to donate summit every quarter whatever you do as Mad has the best Trackmania group of freaks, retards and the analy retentive that one could find on the internet bullovard. |

"I am Sue"
really your voice on vent doesn't give it away
but not to detract from your post........regular donations are definitely the way forwards. Not sure incentives are always necessary but the 3D glasses were a swell idea for a once off (thanks Mid) |

Their banner ad appears randomly with our other advertising partners on every forum page header (also in the list you will find by clicking on the 'Advertisers' button on the row of quick links, just beneath the PayPal button spookily). When you click through to their website using a link on our forum the commission is paid on any sales. Magic innit? My Aria PC was worth £40 to MadLaps _________________
