Guys, just been playing online on Mad Laps and I'm constantly getting lag and subsequently Invalid Race Time messages - happened three tracks in a row (Moldo can vouch for it!) Mad so I got so pee'd off with it that I decided I'd ask on here if there is anything I can tweak with my system to improve things...

yep Smile

as mid said...

press ctrl alt delete, click the processes tab and see how much is running.... we'll start somewhere there.

invalid times are caused by a non responsive machine or network.

I thought (but what do I know) when you lower your settings/graphics then the game takes up less cpu so you get less invalid times?

it could moldo but if you have 70 processes running on windows XP then cutting them down is a better way to fix it.

ie how many icons are in the bottom right? 3 or 4 is great.... 10+ is just stupid.
