yesterday around 6pm i swear i witnessed a bi cat of some sort on the opposite side to the river.

it walked into my vision looked at me, ithen asked my brother what the feck is that andhe tried to look but he claims he didnt see anyhting, he is useless at trying to look at things. but as i was saying it, it bolted at rather high speed into the long grass....

it was cat like, kinda a sandy colour, alot bigger than a domestic cat. lynx/bobcat if i had to put a name to it. it wasnt a fox, foxes a dog like, this was defiently a cat.

----------------
prior to this event, i remember in the 90s there being news articled about a puma in the area. and im a believer that there are big cats in our countryside. do you have any expirences or believes that they are out there?

So it was bigger than a house cat but not as big as a leopard?

A Lynx, although they're not native to the UK, then again neither are the puma, jaguar or lion and people have seen them. There is a big black cat regularly sited near Huntly in Aberdeenshire.

quite a few big cats have been released by people who couldn't keep them or feared getting caught with them..... there are also wild groups of wallabies etc.....

It's true that there are escaped animals from zoos and domestic situations around Britain, and Mad's right about the wallabies. And don't forget the beast of Exmoor, which is somewhere between the Loch Ness Monster and partly explainable.

But having said that, there are a lot of foxes around where I live and I do often mistake them for cats. They don't have the stocky muscular structure of dogs but are much sleeker and more agile. The tail is a bit of a giveaway, as is the long nose (cats have flat faces), but in certain lighting conditions it could be mistaken.

ive seen many a fox over the years, dont think it was a fox

wallibies? where are these located/last seen?

im aware of the dangerous animals act 1976, which has caused this, and in year 2000 there were licences requested for atleast 20 or so different "big cats"

im aware of a load of "wild parrots" in a certain London park
