|
|
Right then. With the TMUF beta starting tomorrow or some time in between then and the 15th I've put together a replay of the six standard TMU stadium skins taking on the Green Missile to show you peeps who've never drifted properly (hi Swat) what you've got in store off-road. It takes place on Artificial Wetland Short at night, currently my best Stadium track on United.
I want to save this as a proper video file. The trouble is that the way TM saves videos directly is in AVI format. Increase the resolution to get reasonable quality when your PC is already struggling with high detail and the result is a slow-running 4GB monster video that doesn't even play properly or in the right colours.
I'm looking to save the replay as a relatively small video that won't take too long to save or upload to the library on here or The Tube. What options do I have? Obviously there's FRAPs and that kind of thing... _________________

Simple
Go to Editor-Replay
Select your replay
Click OK and select shoot video
Then it's saved as a huge file
Go to Windows Movie Maker
Import video clip, the video you just shooted
Then edit it as you want
And finish the video when you want
Small file, and reasonably nice quality
That's the way simple people do it otherwise, Dutchy is your man _________________

If you just record it, you'll get whatever end cam the trackmaker put it, but you can use your own custom cams too, if you want to shoot an interesting part from a different angle. Perhaps you should construct a tiny 10 second track, race it and experiment. |

I've got some pretty good cameras on it for the replay from when it was due a rotation slot on MLU. This was thwarted by the fact that it killed both servers when Mad tried uploading it... _________________

The vid is now on YouTube and there's a link to it on the Video Library. I believe it's still processing on The Tube at the moment however... _________________
