ok we all had a violent reaction to the lemon & lime treatment Galt's tracks got, and the others had their faults, but the new revisions are AWESOME with fine detailling and sport-tech colourways.
MMMBat's Brickyard is in the finest traditions of North American tracks and i swear there's extra grip
CRJ127 has done a superb job on the Rammstein/walls and the MadGP Pit Garages fly the flag for the server
DaMadman's great efforts are... Great Baby! (they must blend innabit cos all I can remember sat here at work are the cool Start/Finish gates )
Anyway, these were out for days but my chugging game cache was already happy with the inferior prorotypes. So: I emptied the cache and the latest vrsns came down the pipe in seconds flat YAY!
Please do yourselves a favour and do the same _________________

Empty the whole cache? That won't affect my game in any other way? |

Thx for the kind words Midden , it's all done to make our favourite server just a little more personal and distinctive.
Clearing the cache helps in a couple of ways, it will get rid of 75% ( guessstimate !!! ) of files in your TMN game cache that are either rarely used or only ever used once/never again, just think of it as tidying up like you would with cookies/temp internet files every now and then. Secondly, it will ensure that next time you play on your favourite servers, you'll be getting the latest up to date mods/skins etc, and it should only take a few races to load as we have intentionally kept our track mods small. i.e. my track mod is 1.4mb, which is probably smaller than an average modded car file ..... Yippee !!!

Ok, cache is empty (I assume it's the Trackmania/GameData/Cache folder or whatever) - 867 files in total over 200mb |

that's the right folder, you can increase the cache size easily enough in the game setup - your's was full at the default capacity. _________________

NOOO wrong folder that has all your passwords, credit card details and windows OS in it
ok I'm lying I often clear my cache when signs fail to show and cars muck up in the vain hope that it might help
The server cache also makes a difference so every major change I clear the server cache tooo. |

Does that kind of thing still happen? I've heard about those massive punch-ups and they sound like a good excuse not to go to the beach... _________________
