Diagnosis of my comptuer - Everything is slowly decomposing
Sometimes, programs just refuse to load, and others will open for about 10 seconds, then just crash and die
Unless anyone has any ideas, im going to restore it back to factory defaults it because it is very annoying. |

I'd be looking for something recently installed with driver issues.
I've been having some weird Stop errors since updating Creative drivers, esp if i've been messing with .wav files. _________________

If that doesnt work steve it could be a crack on the hard disk ... that happened to me bout a month ago. Then again i use a laptop and if that's a desktop it's very very unlikely that was the case. |

Actually my old laptop used to do that now I recall. The repairers said it was because the processor wasn't being pushed down hard enough and was losing some of its connectivity.
Could your fan be broken perhaps? As CPU usage goes up it might not be increasing enough to cool. Or is it just my computer that does that? |

I can restore everything back to factory fefaults no trouble, but installing everything, and put everything like the couple of gb of music and another gb of pictures etc will take a while.
And i was thinking more a software issue, rather than hardware. I've had it since May. When i try to think back to when it started going strange, (a few weeks ago) the only thing i think of is installing iTunes. And if such a widely distributed program had major problems, i would have probably heard of it, so i doubt its that. |

Hahahahahhaaaahaaahahahahahah
good luck.
could be anything.. literally. try and narrow things down a bit?
similarities, differences, heat etc.
also press the left control key when you start windows and hold it down.....
this stops startup programs from loading. If it solves the problem then it's a running program causing the problems. |

Will try that.
Another thing thats changed is the program/driver that came with the wireless adapter. Its needs to be run as an admin, so everytime you log in, it says 'This wants to be run as an admin...allow or block'. The message used to come up first out of everything, everytime it was less than 3 seconds, but sometimes, it takes over a minute |

One question, i seem to vaguely remember a post on a tm forum about reinstalling tmn and the authenticating account wont work. Anyone have any ideas? |

Steve I'd just cut my losses and Format C: Drive, I do it annually and it's like having a new PC. _________________

Copy your profile file out of the game's files first, and if they matter to you your solo records too. You can then add them back in if you reinstall and pick up where you left off. _________________
