Winter 07 Raceweek #1 Ventura Meeting

Yeah I think those were 2 excellent races.

First one Steve got away (go team penske!), I crashed lots at the start and pulled my way upto 2nd until the last corner when I crashed again and let Voices (or Virus, I confuse you two!) take 2nd.

Second I started pulling away then barrel rolled off that nasty bump at start. Steve then turtled out in front and the rest fo the race was basically toon leading with me and moldo trying to catch up, eventually toon messed up the awkward jump on last lap and I mugged him Cool

Not sure how many finished the 2nd race, I remember seeing a half dozen cars upside down by the tricky jump though.

Oh and that 1st race was fun 6th through to second from lap 20

was a good weekend of racing. first race i was fast but i couldnt keep it up of many laps, anyways i started to pull it together and i ended up have geez and moldo right infront of me 3 laps to the end and i had a freak crash where i just got flipped into the first checkpoint.

the second race was my best finish ever so am happy. steve and dent were fast but they both crashed out, (not sure who first) but dent manage to keep going and all i could see for 20 laps was him just a second or 2 behind me untill he started to over take me but 3 laps intill finish he tapped the inside of a corner and i was thinking "come on just hold on to it" and then it happened, the strange jump got me coming onto the final lap and dant took the race.

enjoyed both races very well. thanks

Okay, the underlined numbers is the actual score +1 (both for Dantski)
The team's scores were counted by the best two of the team per race

Then 1 question
For the screenshots, lookey here. Look at the one of Ventura Circuit. Retoon is said to be 9th, but I can't read the times well. Is it 18.55 (9th) or 18.35 (6th). So far I just counted him 9th, but let me know if I should change it.

1. Penske (unless we can get them under monopoly laws for getting most team points every race)
2. Nismo

Oh and just an idea for fastest lap for the future. Why not a 5 minute TA session before the race, like a real qualifing session.

Voices, I like the idea of a fastest lap shootout before the race, lets see if it gets any more feeback, + it wouldn't stop people practising the week's selection's on the challenge server.

Like we discussed on Vent, it will be close between Nismo and Maserati.

It's hard to put Matra somewhere because they missed one person and the other two crashed both races.

Bentley could do really well too, depending a bit on who is racing each weekend.

I win a race....and still dantski almost has double my points Shocked

I like the idea of a proper qualifing just before the race.

Also, ty moldo, but i guess it wont take so long now each week because it all already been set up and just needs updating.

Didn't think I had scored so highly.... but quietly pleased. Hmmm maybe I can try this more often wouldnt mind taking my Bentley team up the table a bit.
