Wish I'd had more time to wander around Levisham Halt and Goathland as well (which is where the bikes, traction, Beer Tent and live music was located) but these two beauties were at Grosmont on the NYMR for a busy Vintage & Classics Weekend today. _________________

Very smart! I'm planning on heading north for a railways 'n' rollercoasters holiday later this year, which will involve visiting the NYMR. Hopefully the Super D, 49395, will be back in action by then! _________________

49395 looking good I can confirm. Pls look me up when you head this way, I fancy a day out at Flamingo Park
btw, knowing your affection for scale models, did you ever see the sea battles staged on Scarborough's Pease Holme Park Lake? Huge non-remote operated battleships firing blank shells, loads of pyro, aero models, a sub (!) _________________

Excellent, wondered when it'd be back in action. Nice shots Mid.
I was at Flamingo Land and Lightwater Valley with a load of coaster nuts over the weekend. Both have rides worth visiting for, but I don't think I'll be visiting either park for quite a while. One thing's for sure; riding The Ultimate eight times in one day isn't something I'd recommend! That video has the camera attached to the front of the train, so you don't see how rough the b*****d thing is. I had a serious case of Ultimache the next day (it's a bit like a hangover, except the abuse you've given your body isn't alcohol-related). _________________
