Baino came up with a wizard idea that the teams should introduce themselves and their cars in a thread and give us a little insight into what they expect from Season 8.

I'll get the ball rolling by announcing my two teams and the one I may occasionally show up for.

SpankyTech BP Hustler Racing
Another season but a change of personnel for the worlds foremost arms manufacturer. Gone are myself and Bunsen Jetson replaced by speedy StevieM with a quickfire temper and contempt for brakes he should pick up considerably more points than me. We also welcome Little Deanio, recruited through the SpankyTech apprenticeship scheme where his knowledge of thermonuclear devices and munitions will be honed far better than any comp. JawZ an ever present for SpankyTech and consistent racer is team skipper for the season but thankfully has no access to the bank accounts. The worlds most popular jazz mag Hustler continues its generous sponsorship of the car with BP providing the go juice.

SpankyTech Pepsi Max Racing
Bboy & Baino return with DanTheMan replacing belial who is on remand for selling dodgy laptops to an undercover copper. This season should see Pepsi Max Racing assert itself at the top end of the team championship as long as Bboy can keep it on the track and Dan can keep it out of the pub. Pepsi Max sponsor the cars this season after Tennents lager had to pull out due to an unpaid bar tab from the SpankyTech Christmas party which almost bankrupted them.

Mad Laps Legends
An invitation from Unicef and a community service order mean I shall be racing for glory only and no points with returning legend Tred. You may see us you may not but one thing for sure is our nauseating green car won't go unnoticed when we do rock up.

K.M.T - Kiss My Tailpipe

Myself, Pretty Inconsistent mid runner, who couldn't finish the his own tracks last season.

Fred, Has joined up for a second season, a consistent mid runner, done a fantastic job for us last season, glad to have him on board.

Dantski, this guy needs no introductions, came in as a unknown in season 1 and kicked butt, very consistent elite player, lucky to get him on a free transfer. has won this the last 2 seasons.
Dantski is on his hat trick now.
hopefully this will inspire me to do better

The car you should be following this season should look like this, hopefully the season 8 K.M.T will gift Dantski his third win

Shropshire-based firm Green Missile Racing are hoping for further success in the Formula Mad World Championship this season. Previous GMR cars designed to comply with Mad GP regulations have proved reliable and competitive, and it is hoped that the new FMS8 will continue this trend for both GMR and GMR-Missilo Verto. GMR's proven season 7 lineup returns with team owner DaCheese, experienced technical director Middenrat and master of the tech track C.O.Jones out on track.

Meanwhile, it's all change at GMR-MV. With the surprise loss of star performer Dantski to KMT and Voices' previously hushed-up crash in FMS8 prototype testing, Debs is set to be the only GMR-MV driver returning for season 8, joined by ex-Preparation H driver Sabre and the infamous Matt Squires. Sadly this team's name looks unlikely to change as Cheese is not yet thought to have come up with anything less insulting to anybody with a basic grasp of languages spoken in mainland Europe.

Rumour has it that GMR's season 7 sponsorship deal with Hot Wheels has not been renewed. The muppets in the GMR Paint Shop are thought not to have actually got round to applying the several mandatory layers of green paint to all six new cars yet, so it's anybody's guess as to what logos they might carry. Cheese has his fingers in a lot of pies now though, so it is entirely possible that we may be seeing the branding of his other enterprises incorporated in the new liveries.

To those who weren't on Vent during season 6 races and haven't seen Dan's race write-ups from that time, I'd like to point out that I'm not mad about breasts and GMR take a very serious stance on explicit content.

This strikes me as the only thread in recent memory that needs to be kept on topic, so back to the teams.

Tyrrell Racing 2010:
Tyrrell starts Season No. 8 with a fresh lineup. Due to his social engagement the deer (Reh) can't get on the grid these days - Rustray is taking care of his speeding turtle again, so there are two faces unseen in last season (except for the scoring board). MadLegend Moldo's return is awaited in excitement - We'll see whether he left his Endurance-Skills on the scoreboard, but Tyrrell is quite confident with his engagement, Reh's place as Tyrrell-Frontman is quite the right place for his comeback.
Furthermore the youth-division of Tyrrell-Germany has grown its first talent : Ozzy. Coming from the wild eastern germany he know's how to turn a car on its back. A lot of experience in nearly every Playstation-racing-game and about one year Trackmania-Experience gives him the chance to be the surprising highflyer - if the tobacco ain't empty.

With constructor's-podiums in all the 3 last Seasons and the only Constructors win in summer 2008 Tyrrell is heading to the second star.
There won't be any understatement from the team's managers at all, only when it comes to the Car, we need to ....cough...take a short look in the right directions - has anyone said espionage ? - the introduction of the car will be coming soon.
Get ready for a tough challenge against the cars in blue

Monkey Business…is what it looked like when PG Tips finally revealed the Team for GP season 8.

Some months ago the company behind the project was looking for 3 drivers to take their newly developed car into 2010.
Several drivers signed up and a test period was set up.

A Johnny Vega look-a-like spokesman speak:
“All they have had for 2 month now is tea for breakfast – tea for lunch – tea for dinner and in between they even smoked some of that sweet tea too....”

When the day came to make the final decision 3 aspiring talents stood out.

“Mr. Shifter” a.k.a. Revo
”Iceman” a.k.a. Miksujee
”The slow Dane” a.k.a. Iffe

So how did we select the 3 drivers and what can we expect of our virgin season in GP.

Well Revo was the most easy choice given the fact that this monkey can drive like.....(beep)!!
But unfortunately he will probably get kicked from server each Tuesday for shouting out –OMG- more than once.

MiksuJee is the most reliable and will hopefully finish 99% of all races.
Even tough he almost didn’t make the team after a anonymous person caught him on video saying “I’m actually more of a Tetley guy”

Iffe will try to keep up with the pace for a finish between 1 and 30 – but rumour has it that the people behind PG Tips
are hoping this no-tea-for-me...coffee-only-pls drinking Dane will fail.

As said this is our first go in Mad Lap GP and we look forward to be a part of this legendary race.
Hopefully we can contribute with a laugh or two.

Finally we want to thank Baino again for the great work on our car.

the nuclear warning signs around the car show that Inmate has opted to implement his designs for a nuclear powered fission engine into the teams first model.
let's hope the drivers don't plan to be having kids any time in the future.
