cheese spoke of this last night ! practicing for the upcoming season with a few practice gps on a saturday night ?? and some other 10/15 lap races in the mid week ?? 1 or the other or maybe both!

Well, just something I was thinking about doing if we get a reasonable number of new drivers. It's been a long time since we last did 25 lap solo GPs and it might be handy closer to the actual season for getting to grips with the consistency required.

interested in all kinds of 10/15/25-lap-in-between-seasons-Gps.
Tell a time and I'll try to be there. Any new ways of driving GPs should be tested now better than talked about later and I'm up for every nutty or brilliant idea anyone comes up with. Though for myself - I have none. The teams and scoring points system were great last season methinks....and just perhaps...really only perhaps maybe...we could put the respawns back and...well, Idk - anyone come up with something genius please

Respawns are on but top 10 drivers from previous season can't use em!

The problem is each race would have to be checked to make sure the top 10 hadn't used a respawn because as last season showed if respawns are on it becomes very tempting to use them. Maybe we could have a vote amongst all the gp drivers before the start of the season even if it's just a couple of guys asking people when on the server and go with the majority. Although I was very pro no respawns last season I've come to think that really it just punish the not so good drivers as the fast guys just leave, return and finish mostly where they would have anyway.

That could work but we had someone use a respawn and take points rather than confess they'd done it so self monitoring there probably won't work. Also I'm in the top 10 from season 7 and I can't be placed in the same class as yourself and Bboy for consistency

We did try that least season and the folks who wanted respawns on were a bit quiet and didn't want to fight to get them back maybe to do with how vocal the opposition was I'm not sure.

Thats my fault really I did make the point if you are out you're out but because we didn't monitor who left and restarted Moldo wouldn't have known not to give them points but if we go again without respawning I'll be saying no points if you're off and no rejoining to start again.
