Thanks for the link to the interview, DaCheese. It's quite interesting. It seems like not much is going to change, really. I'm glad the ladder will be reset. I hope there's also some change in the way it calculates, too. Like losing points if you lose to lesser/equal runners. This will stop people sitting on the start line! |

Nadeo have said there won't be any new blocks in Forever. After seeing this screenshot of Desert on the TMU website, I'm not inclined to agree with that statement:
Admittedly this is desert and as such isn't the greatest environment to improve, but what other environments have new blocks I wonder? _________________

Florent's confirmed new blocks, but only for the TMO environments. No tunnels for Stadium yet I'm afraid. _________________

Now if both of those things did happen I'd be amazed. _________________

Anyway, in my opinion, TMO environments gameplay are very not nice and i don't like them. Whatever could be the update in Rally, Desert and Snow, i wouldn't play them.
With time, i've lost my interrest for TMU. I was one of those who defended it with all my energy, but seeing all the contempness (despise ?) from the so called "old wises" of the community against the TMN players, and Nadeo letting them insult us because of a few noobs, i give up. If that's the TM spirit, i prefer to stay on MadLaps GBR where fun, happyness and friendship are the main rules.
They can put this odd game in their *ss, with all my greetings. |

I'm not a big fan of the TMO environments either, mainly because they feel ancient. The TMS ones are much better.
The TM community has two main sides and I'm sitting on the fence. There's the traditional side; players who had TM before the first expansion and think this places them higher than the newer players, or TMS buyers. Not all of these are nasty, it's just generally a few bastards who tend to be the ones shouting the loudest. Then we have the Nations side; a load of generally friendly people who've grown to love their Stadium as it is and in some cases don't like the other environments.
Where would I place myself? I don't know. I started on Nations, bought Original (to authenticate my account) for about £1.50 and played that for a while, then improved my PC and realised I could run United. Nations is great, don't get me wrong, it's just that United presents more variety. Basically I like both...I just want Forever to arrive A.S.A.P.
Hmm. It seems I've left an opening for another Nations vs. United thread. Let's not go there people. _________________

Haha, rofl cheese. I managed to click on the post before you edited it.
So im reading through it, and i come to the bit that you have removed, so when i finish, i click reply, open quote tags, close quote tags, then copy your name, and go to find the quote.
Anyhow, at some point in this, you very wisely removed the bit that i was going to quote, so i couldnt quote it. However, im not out foxxed that easily. I could still press 'back' going back to the original page without it updating So i copied it from there, and pasted it into the tags. Then i thought you removed it to stop a nations vs united thread, so i thought i'd leave it out because nations would win again
And if anyone wants to know what it is, dont ask me, and if anyone doesnt have a clue what im on about, dont worry, it will be probably only cheese who does
And to your point, thats the whole point of nations, and it would suck if it wasnt like that |

I actually edited that twice before I decided I was happy with it.
Yeah, Nations is close racing, United is variety. End of.
I don't like people referring to Nations as a demo; somehow it just irritates me. It's not, it's a full game. Having said that, I suspect that Nadeo want TMNF to be a demo for TMUF. _________________

The new logos for TMNF and TMUF are already released : http://www.nadeo.com/
I guess, the big update is for soon (but the beta must be tested first...) |

I heard TMNF will drive like TMU now, meaning 20% heavier car and stuff like that.. I've never driven TMU but I only hear TMN is simply better.. so I hope TMNF won't suck |

is this going to be open or closed beta testing?
hope it's gonna be an open beta .... at least for a bit would be nice to get hold of a copy sooner rather than later |

It's more or less open.
There's gonna be the "Hyllisian games" (Hyllis beeing, i think, the leader of the Nadeo workgroup) and the prices will be Beta version of TMNF and TMUF |
