I've come up with a system to count handiloops. It's a lot more complicated than it looks as you're only allowed one condition per trigger, so if you say count 3 comes on only when trigger 2 has been activated, then count 3 will come on every lap after 3. You need "off" triggers for each count and a little timing jiggerypokery. This example only goes up to 4 by way of demonstration.

As well as keeping a count of your handiloops, the system will let you do a few handiloops, do a few proper laps and then go back to handiloops and the counter will have remembered where you were. Perhaps this could make racing a little more interesting by letting players choose when they do their handiloop "pitstops" but not lose count. |

nice track Bunsen
Put some Madvert in it and it's ready for upload
lol, just kidding
anyway, i think this handiloop counter comes in very handi as i miscounted the loops myself.. ..although if you have a simple loop like that, you actually shouldn't need an extra counter for it (in my opinion)..
great idea though
thx bunsen |

The handicap loops need to be done first to make my life easier......
The work involved in adding counters to each track is quite time consuming and dans works by timings not triggers... which is ok if you don't crash to much. |

I don't mind adding the triggers to existing trax if the community feels it would help. Happy to do my bit etc. I could save each trigger and it would be a simple case of sticking in 20 triggers and assigning details to each. 10 min job.
I think it's particularly useful if handiloops aren't all done in one chunk, which I think would make for quite interesting racing. |

Just had a little thought and some preliminary experiments look promising ... And it could save Mad a lot of time Basically, as the different triggers are set off, it leaves an imprint in the recording. The person doing the checking would just need to select Edit the replay, choose the driver, click on the endpoint and have a look at the last trigger in the timeline. S/he wouldn't need to actually watch the race, and it owuld allow drivers to tak the handiloops as and when they chose. The job's a good 'un. |

I thought this might be possible but havnt tried myself as a simple idea in theory suddenly becomes a lot more difficult/impossible once you try and do it in the MT! Nice work Buns |
