i use:
overall detail custom
resolution 1440x900 (my monitor can't go higher )
refresh rate 75
multisampling 16xqcsaa
vsync on
aspect ratio 16:9
gamma 1
when I went to advanced (shift) everything is max too
so maxed everything, basically
fraps recorded a consistent 60 fps :] _________________

Ideally v sync should be on, to syncronise your monitor to the fsp and stop tearing (pauses in the game, think me and steve get that), multisampling makes all the smoke particles, lower = less smoke, Ideally also, turn refresh rate to maximum, this will stop eye strain after hours of play.
60 fps is the max the game puts out, keeps gfx cards cool and less strain on older pc`s _________________ Never underestimate the power of stupidity. |

not very many people actually know if v-sync is worth being put on or not. It actually steals a good bit of framerate, but if you have alot of fps to spare then I don't think there's any harm turning it on _________________

No idea what settings I use as I've not changed them. I run a 9800GT with an 8600GT doing the PhysX stuff and it seems to run a bit more smoothly than the 360 version most of the time. _________________
