Well, technically this is a bit late but I didn't think of doing this when I started on here and there might be people on here who've been fortunate enough to have avoided me until now, both on here and on Mad laps United.
So yes, I'm DaCheese, more commonly known as Cheese when I come online to do some racing. A lot of stuff I do has a wierd logo that can be interpreted as RFS, which stands for Racing For Shropshire. This isn't a team, it's just a couple of mates and myself who live in the bit next to Wales. The name first appeared when we downloaded Nations and I started to run the locally hosted Friday Night Racing session. The session tends to be on Fridays (suprise suprise) on United now and time varies. If you see this up and running by all means come and give it a try; the race format's pretty similar to MLU except that we use Rounds mode with a ten point limit to allow point to point tracks to be used as well as multiple lap ones.
Tracks are a mixture from myself, JonnyGreenGiant who's sometimes around on Mad Laps and sometimes a few from the near-insane Atomcooldude (I've got no idea how he came up with that name but his tracks tend to be a bit strange). If anything looks promising for Mad Laps give us a shout in the chat area during the session and we'll get together some custom signs and MT work as only a few tracks (generally mine intended for the server) have it other than camera 3 in loops etc.
Well, I think that's about it for now. _________________

Welcome DaCheese, we seem to have totally neglected United recently, for better racing on TMN. Out of all the enviroments, Coast is probably my favourite, as long as the tracks resemble some sort of race type circuit. I don't really care for Stadium in TMU either, and I can't figure out why ? maybe it's the selection of enviroment pieces, don't really know ? The TMU game has an overall " Circus " feel to it, with clown's, juggler's, tighrope walking and of course custard pie's in the face. It's a joke and so is the support for lap racing..............Wow, I really got a mini rant on there, what was the question again

I think when we all first got TMU, we had about a month or two of intense trackbuilding and racing on it, but since then we have more or less, devoted all our efforts to TMN. It is a nice looking game but some of the enviroments are horrific, in my opinion : )
I personally wouldn't recommend it ( although it's easy saying that when I already have the game ), but please get opinions from other's first, and make sure you pick it up real cheap , most of us U.K. paid around £10 - £15 online, perhaps we'll go back to it ( TMU ) soon, but at present it's TMN. _________________

Agreed, TMU was a disappointment for me. They've fixed bugs in nations such as the kerbs at high speed, but they've made bugs such as deleting your text when it loads the next track and the score board at the end. So you have to type very quickly, or not at all, and imo, one of the best things on nations, is the chat.
Some of the environments are just crap, they've made stadium worse i think. Fixed the kerbs, but it seems sluggish and slower than tmn.
Theres lots more pieces on stadium, and mud and water, and some of the tracks are really good, but the gameplay just doesnt seem as good.
The game is alot quieter aswell, almost everytime i look, Mad Laps United is empty. Then i go on Nations, and it very rarely drops below 10 people once its started.
Basically, dont spend more the £15, its not worth anymore. |

Wise decision
However i did miss an advantage of TMU, it makes nations even better |
