I've put up two tracks Mad left for the GPs, one - Bandana - has a cheeky cut I'm sure most of you will notice but I'm putting everyone on trust for the race on Thursday. ( ) _________________

How to be sure that no one will use the cut ? I think it's unavoidable...
When poeple will see that some racers are so far in front (don't mean the elite will use it, but they are always far far away in front) they're gonna be tempted to use the cut to reduce the gap and gain one or two positions... We're only humans... and competitors...
Now that i've found it... i can't promise anything. If i'm not in top 8 as previous races, i might cut... |

if it needed pointing out: there are 20-or-so experienced hands at the event, any one of whom will blow the whistle on anyone seeking to gain an unfair advantage - but who would be so stupid to attempt a low speed manoeuvre in full view of the players further up the course who didn't cut? _________________

Replays don't work over 15 or 16 laps, if someone, racing alone, 10 seconds ahead his closest followers use the cut... how to prove it ?
Not possible to edit the track before the race ? |

the CP splits will suddenly display a huge gap, that's how.
Only DaMadman could edit the track, i think, but I'd be willing to consider putting up an alternative from the archive if you have any suggestions. I don't notice anyone else unduly perturbed by the existence of this tiny track flaw though _________________

Suppose anyone who is considering using the cut has to ask is it worth being kicked out of the championship and their team losing points for the sake of using a cut everyone else said they wouldn't use.
It'll be fairly obvious if it is being used and there are plenty of admins racing tonight to deal with anyone taking the piss out of the fellow racers. _________________

I agree, If you're trailing someone by a few secs then suddenly next CP they are 4-5 secs in front you know they've used it, only problem being I don't race with chat turned on during GPs so I would have no idea (i jus flick it on/off to check position/sectors etc). People also go in trances during GPs and don't pay attention to split times for the full 25 laps.
I say leave it as it is, because there is a cut I will keep the chat on to see the split times of the people around me, plus I think everyone is kind enough to be a fair racer and not use it... |

When i've got difficulties during a race, i turn off both HUD and other players car so i'll have no idea about what's going on, but i promise, i won't cut since i know cutters will be excluded from the championship and team points reset, i'm in peace |

I'm glad you stopped at chopping their hands off, but yea.
tell everyone: no cut even if you've crashed. You just have to back up for speed that's all. _________________

It may be a bit late to put another track up? For some people like myself it would be fine as i'd have a good hour to practise, but for the people that join 10mins before the GP it aint as good.. |

ya my net came back just for the gp again lol
---------
1st race
was nice but again long laps = concentration goes. resulted in t high speed wallbang
12thish
2nd race
8th with 2 laps to go then i end up on my roof after flipping on landing
then i end up crashing at the corner and having to respawn at the cp near the jump...
went back twice...hitting he wall head on both times, went back a third time got up..ended up in a rather lowly 14th _________________

1st race
Flipped on the jump first lap, put me down to 18th and had to claw my way back up the field. got my way past grendel into 3rd with steve and swat 10 secs ahead. few laps later swat dissapeared due to a respawn, and steve was around 6 secs ahead then, ended up 2nd 2 secs behind which i'm more than happy with.
2nd race
most people would be happy with a 2nd, but the fact that i was leading with a 3 sec lead on the 20th lap and ended up almost flipping on the jump losing my lead pissed me off so much lol. ended up 2 secs behind grend for yet another 2nd
played to steve and grendl for the wins, bring on next week!
PS BEECHY WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU YOU'LL BE KICKED OUT OF THE GP IF YOU MISS ANOTHER THATS 6 NOW. |

1st race was last in the spankytech procession of 10th, 11th, 12th
was good to chase after the fellas for a while had a great battle with pepper.
2nd race came 9th and was the 1st of the spankytech massive. Had another good battle with pepper but he managed to pull away a bit with 3 laps to go. _________________

Nothing really to say, except that I benefitted from the mistakes of other drivers. Congrats to Jonny and Mid for their top 10 finishes, the team motorhomes are being refitted already as a reward. _________________
