That ad was from the AW08 campaign I think.
When I was a kid I did actually think Irn Bru made you strong and sued to drink it for that reason alone (why else?). That was before advertising to children was regulated, I think. |

It's primarily known in Scotland as an aid to recovering from a hangover, preferably let it go flat then consume with an aberdeen rowie.
