And I guess I'll post that your track has a bad cut Mad. Ask JawZ, his fault _________________

AnotherOne: A good track this one. I made too many daft mistakes to do well here; lap 10 I may have hit every single barrier.
The Hut: Nothing to say really, although I'm a tad peeved about getting my first disconnection in ages on my own track. _________________

GP tracks often have cuts because we keep the checkpoints right down to a minimum. This ensures that drivers get the most information they can whilst racing. The server versions are often a little different. |

here we go then:
Race 1:
started out by hitting the edging after the first jump and i was back in the pack. i then kept clean and was in 5-6th cant remember. i then raced with medi for around 10 laps with us both making our few mistakes. we were both running fast and right next to each other untill the last jump on the last lap i judged it wrong and landed half on the edging and he took the postion. i was lucky to even finish. well done to medi for the great race and gj bboy for the win. voice got 0 points (i think) which is good for me in the table. also maserati beat nismo overall to hold our second place.
Race 2:
this had to be one of the closest races for around the first 10 laps with i think 6-7 of us all together. dantski then start to pull away and everyone seemed to be making a few mistakes. i then had a every bad lap 18 and 19 which i i lost my place to mc. i got it back together and start to chase him but he was too fast and i kept tapping. nothing much happened from here and i went over the finish on my own. beat voice again and 2 maserati members beat nismo.

Well I had a pretty dire coupel of races by my standards, finishing 12th in the first race and 13th in the second. Wish I could use lack of practice as an excuse, but afterwards I went on the mad laps server and drove like a blind man on tracks that I knew really well, so I suspect today just wasn't my day _________________

well since others are doing it, i might give it a shot:
1st race: Ran on pure adrenaline, I thought I must have been getting close to the top five since I was pumping in solid laps, then in the distance i saw two red and white cars dicing it out closely (medi and retoon). I managed to close up on them but just as I was getting within overtaking distance, my consistency deserted me and i hit numerous walls. Caught up again, hit more walls, etc and so on until in the end coming home a proud 6th in my first ever GP.
2nd race: Had a few people around me for first ten laps, then everyone disappeared and I was left cruising round on my lonesome for the rest of the race, overtaking a few towards the end to finish 8th.
Overall I were a chuffed lad I was
Once again, thanks for letting me race |

arrrrgh! Actually it wasn't that bad.
1st race - Made a pretty good start and me and Bboy swapped the lead first few laps, then he pulled away and I had a weird fight with Steve who started about 2 secs late. Eventually he made more mistakes at the end than me (which was quite a feat!) and I nabbed it by 0.2.
2nd race - Fairly good start and sat behind Bboy for a couple laps until he made a mistake. Then I led by 1-3 secs until lap 23 when I started hitting walls. Would've dropped to 3rd if I hadn't done my pre race voodoo on Steves car. _________________ It's not the winning, its the taking apart |

Quite a weekend of racing...
First race: Dantski, and myself spent the first couple of laps swapping the lead. Steve was also up with us according to his times, although his car was nowhere in sight . Managed to get away from Dant and Steve and all I saw for the rest of the race was cars I was lapping... Not too exciting, but a win is a win.
Now we get to the exciting race.
Second race: Managed to get the lead around the start of the second lap and was hoping this race could go along just like the first one... Not quite. By about lap 5 I hit the wall and within the next couple laps I'd smack the same wall again and again, to fall from 1st to 6th, a loss of roughly 5-6 seconds. Spent the next 10-12 laps making up lost time, while occasionally smacking that same wall over and over. Around lap 22 I was able to overtake Steve and get back to second, maybe 3 seconds or so behind Dant. Got the gap down to about 2.2 and went back to smacking the same wall on lap 23... Figured I'd have to settle for a second place if I could get it back from Steve... Well... I was wrong around the beginning of the 24th lap I noticed Steve and I had gone from 2.8-3 secs back to a mere 1.4, then suddenly a Swedish car came into vision. I managed to overtake both Steve and Dant on the 24th lap and hold them off for the final circuit to take the win.
Overall, turned out to be a much better weekend of racing for me than I had expected it to be. |
