ok so hes saying that the bug fix works where servers run on a new beta version of the server software......
We still use the latest final release and not the beta's, hence the problem
I may look at using the beta sometime, but they release a new one every fortnight a the moment and there is no auto sync of versions.... its just hap-hazard. |

the problem is probably not specific to the client.... ie it required changes to the server and the game.
The fix however is at beta stage, hence it isnt ready via updates and the server patch is also at beta stage.......
They have two server beta versions as the first one did'nt fix all the problems. This is normal and when it's fully tested it will be released as a stable release and everyone will get the update via the games update function / steam.
In this case, they are following the correct methods and if it doesn't work yet then tough, it's a beta release.
Having said that, Most of these problems were recognised in united and the forever beta test should have sorted them.... so they are very very old and should have been sorted a long time ago. |
