they are pb'd, its jus there for ppl who hate paying for games i guess >_>

but yeah, some ppl on cracked servers are somewhat godly and suspicious...
i find the ones i join on the ingame serverlist are full of whinners who complain about "hacks"

with the killcam feture (on some servers) its piss easy to determine whose clearly not cosher

....
i believe im slightly deaf in my right ear, i use headphones thus i can usually determine where sound is coming from, but due to my expirement with earpieces i usually go left if i dont use gut instinct

also helps if you know the map and what texture produces what sound when ran or walked on....

all this sound detection to work out where enemy are is second nature to me having come from an AA competive background.

have a friend who used speakers only on cod, he now uses headphones since i told him few things >_>

though when i first started playing cod i couldnt tell much difference between anything :s

im trying to get my friend whose still "cracked" to buy the game getting sick of trying to locate Harcore servers with small numbers on the cracked list, if i wanna play with him. but were also finding that we are able to make servers become empty within a few minutes, often due to uber pwnage - amount of times im getting accused of hax is increasing lol.

I don't play this much at all, it just sits near the bottom of my pile of PS3 games. It's a controversial thing to say but I enjoy Halo 3 a lot more.

goodhomer has issues with cod4

Problem #6 : iw3mp.exe error in Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer
Solution A : rename mssmp3.asi to mssmp3.bak.(from Elem3nt and franjo)
Solution B : From activision(do this only if Solution A doesnt fix it)

There are some issues running CoD 4 multiplayer on some onboard sound cards. If you have a RealTek(TM) onboard sound card and Windows(R) Vista you should try removing your sound card drivers and allow Windows Vista to install it’s default sound drivers. Please make note of the make and model of your sound card prior to removing it in order to aid in reinstallation at a later date.

To remove your sound card drivers do the following:

* Open the control panel link from the start menu
* Check the programs and features tool to see if your sound card drivers are listed here
* If they are not open the system tool in the control panel
* Click on the device manager task on the left
* Locate your sound card in the list, it should be in the sound, video, and game controllers section
* Right-click on the sound card name and select Uninstall.

If you have a Sigmatel® onboard sound card you will need to install all Windows® Vista updates, and the latest Sigmatel drivers from www.dell.com. Please navigate from the dell homepage to support, your make and model computer, and look for a sound card update.

If you are running the game from a secondary partition, download the latest BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer in addition to following the above instructions.

i only really refresh the server list once every blue moon though.

got a favourite regular sab hc server to play in

if you wanna play I can gather shox he seems to be able to run a server of his computer with very little issues
