Err sorry guys, the payment for this was Due on the 4th of June and I have forgot all about it.

Second problem is my pal pal account is empty (wife and ebay is a bad combination) and wont have any funds in it until Thursday. I have a slight feeling the server may be off line for a few days.

After the incredible support I was shown from the madlaps community for my temporary lapse in funds to pay for the madlaps pro server.

I just thought I would post an update. The server has now been paid for until the 4th of July, I emailed him and thanked him for not turning it off, due to late payment, but I told him that this was the last payment from me.

One time, I couldnt afford to pay for the server, 61 people viewed this post and not one of you said you would help out.

Sorry, I have supported you for over a year and I just got a massive view of one way traffic.

You are on your own.

O.K. Peeps many thanks to Bel for paying for the pro server for all this time, we now need to raise £30 a month to cover the cost, I have commited to paying a monthly sum towards it, so if a few more will do the same it won't be much, please sighn up on this thread Smile

Steve as discussed in vent I'll cover the £3 if you cover the rest, times are hard in the weapons of mass destruction biz you know. Wink

I'll stump up £3 a month. However, like Bel mentioned previously the server needs to have some activity on it or I reckon we just let it go.

i'd be willing to pay £3 a month towards the server if its decided its staying. i'm not always about so don't really know how many peeps are playing the pro or points servers and whether its worth keeping both on.

i would have offered to help out when i first read this thread but as i only get paid monthly was (and still is till the 15th Embarassed

I really wana send more money in but being a student I'm losing money (that I don't even have) out of every orifice! Sent in a tenner a while back and will get saving again.

A question...does it have to cost that much a month. Munkhi now has a server set up and told me its costing him £15pcm. Also, is it possible to make money by selling advertising on the server?

UPDATE... We are looking at a server for a lot less money, it will have to be paid up-front, and we pay 12 months for just over £100 for a 40 slot server. So I appeal to you for a contribution and then we can pass the hat round again in 12 months time, 11 peeps at £10 will do it.

When would you need the money by as I can't do it this month but next month would't be a problem.

Thanks to Bel for looking after it for so long, like Mid I was under the impression it was a perk of the job so to keep it going for so long out of his own pocket all I can say is a big WP to you.

I'd put down the student stuff because it applies to me too but £10 divided by 12 months = 83p per month. That sounds like good value to me, so count me in. Won't be able to do paypal or anything like that but I do have a tenner, envelopes and stamps. Before I do anything though is there anyone who's on the server or on Vent doing other stuff (like playing with tanks for a few hours Razz

) regularly who can establish how much use the server's getting as it is now without a revival campaign? As Spanky and Evil said it needs to get enough use to be worth paying for.
