Oh yes, that brings it all back ... Sometimes they would draw pictures but they were often a bit crap.

Ahh good ol speccy days.

I still have in the other room about a hundred old tapes with games on them with such classic titles as..

Prince of Persia (the original)
Match Day 1 and 2 (really exactly the same).
How to be a complete b*stard
Tomahawk
Rampage
1st division manager (had one player called gaylord, this is very amusing when you're 10 years old)
Lemmings

Of course I can't name all of them. Most are in the free tapes you got with the 'Your Sinclair' magazine.

BIG BUMP

I play:

Trackmania
GRID
Command and Conquer 3: Kanes Wrath

thats it, althought I'm getting bored of GRID, I'm getting bored of CNC3 as I don't play online and the missions are annoying me (and i'm impatient for Red Alert 3 in Oct), and I don't seem to be able to spend more than an hour on Trackmania without getting bored.

I'm thinking of dusting off the PS2 and sticking GT4/GTASanAndreas in

EDIT: Cheese, do you still play LOTR? I've the second and the expansion, if you've got em we'll have to battle sometime

Short answer: No.

Longer answer: It was the first one, and I never did get anywhere with it. Strategy games aren't my forte, Halo Wars on the 360 will be a great game but I won't be getting it.

Currently playing...

PC
TM (a long term addiction, as you may have guessed)
Erm...

PS3
Burnout Paradise (now at 100%, just need those freeburn challenges to get the Carbon Uberschall)-will be out on PC at some point if anyone's interested.
From time to time...
Stuntman Ignition-a bit rubbish and annoying as hell, but somehow addictive.
Juiced 2:HIN-truly awful presentation, but the actual driving is quite good fun. Plus my brother bought it.
Plenty of others I could play if I felt up to it as well.

360
NFS Most Wanted (this time on 360, I WILL complete it this time).
On and off...
Halo 3-I like it because it takes longer to die than on CoD4.
And I really ought to play more GRID, Bioshock and Forza.

Ste, I thought you were getting a PS3 at some point? If so, you need to get Paradise.

No I never got one, for some reason I've completely gone off console gaming, I've got a PS2 and seem to be happy with GT4 when I'm bored.

I have played the burnout games, but I find them to be too 'quick' for my liking, you can hardly see where you're going sometimes and it winds me up, plus the crash events are hard.

BTW, has anyone played the Asian Dynasties expansion to AOEIII? I've got the game and the Warchiefs expansion, and I'm thinking of getting the new expansion to regain my interest in the game.

GT4 is still excellent. Crash mode is gone in Paradise, instead there's showtime, which invloves pressing L1 and R1 to start your car bouncing down the road and onto traffic.

Oh ok, well I still want to get a PS3 at some point but it won't be for another year or so.

Oh, and Mashed. Such an awesome game, 4 player with your mates is so much fun, have you got Mashed Reloaded? (I think its called that, it just the same game but with extra tracks). The best course on the entire game is the icy docks with a hairpin on each end, people just lay mines and oil spills all over the hairpins and its just chaos, we always turn airstrike off though as in my opinion it makes it unfair to the guys still racing.

But seriouslyguys n gals, if you have mates round alot, gamers or not (mine arn't) then get mashed and a multi-tap because its hellafun.

Mashed-when you love Micro Machines like I did/still do, you'll look at a pre-release video of a game produced by the same team and grin, then buy it as soon as it's out. I paid £35 or so at the time for the PS2 version, then spent a further £10 on a multitap and it's proved to be money well spent. At every get together with my mates we hit Polar Wharf, although I'd rather play Nukov, Redpool Tip, Hattan City or Keister Bay. We now play the Fully Loaded version as one of the aforementioned friends bought it and it's not enough to justify buying it again if you've got the original. The new tracks are Demolition (also on a magazine demo disc I once borrowed) and Fort Gidlow. Fort Gidlow's pretty good, Demolition isn't.

I've just ordered the PC version of Mashed as Empire haven't been forthcoming with a downloadable Mashed HD for PS3 or 360 and the PS2 version on a PS3 with a 32" HDTV looks rubbish. I also bought Micro Machines V4. As far as I know neither has online play, although I'd love to play them against some of you guys...
