If ITV can pull their finger out ...
(no spoilers hereafter)
I got up this morning to watch live quali on ITV 3 and there was nothing being broadcast. ITV 1 and 2 had kiddies' programmes and 4 was blank too. Yet on the website it said live qualifying ITV3 6:30-8. So I kept checking the ITV website to see who was qualifying, and it seems they update avery hour or two or whenever they can be bothered. I ended up using the BBC website where the eventual polestitter was brought to me seconds after it happened, while ITV, the supposed F1 official broadcatser, was still banging on about the hero of Q2. It does make me wonder ....
Plus they cut out Mark Webber's swearing from last week's rerun! Spose they had to ... |

I think i'll probably get at least a few hours sleep, and set my alarm ( BORING !!!! CJ )
I'll be cheering on Kimi and Massa , but I guess it wouldn't be all that bad if Lewis won .
Also looking forward to D.C. and Button having a decent run _________________

Of course! He'll crash 1st corner and get a decent run back to the pits _________________ It's not the winning, its the taking apart |

Well, sounds like some people had a lot of fun getting up (for them) ridiculously early to watch the F***ing Idiots Association do their best to ruin (what at one time) was a REAL sport. I'm just going to speak my mind and say that I just don't bother watching F1. I hope Lewis wins, but I don't dare turn on the TV to watch ScandalSportSupreme. Maybe I could catch a glimpse of some cars on a track here and there, or, if I got very lucky, they might acctually be running ahead of the safety car (which should be in the lead of the champoinship at this point). I don't know if you guys in the UK get these, but if you do, I highly recommend the Rolex Sports Car Series, Austrailian V8 Supercars, DTM, or the British Touring Car Series. And if you STILL want to talk about F1, I like the GP2 series.
Sorry for completey crashing everyone's party, with my spelling and my view of Formula Scandal, but I just can't stand it. I'd never be an F1 driver in my life. But then again, excluding Lewis Hamilton, who in the top 4 or 5 really is anyways? Sorry. Go ahead and yell at me. |

LaValle it would be difficult to argue that F1 is still technically a 'sport'
However it still grips the imagination because of the continuous technical innovation and perceived danger to its participants.
The other racing genres you list are worthy and competitive - exciting and dangerous too! But without the billion-dollar R&D budgets the major manufacturers throw at the teams everything else is just a sideshow. _________________

I dunno F1 isn't really the spectacle it used to be but 3 contenders for the title at the last race of the season. If that doesn't give a race fan the horn then nothing will dagnabbit.
Don't like any of the contenders mind you. Seen pork pies with more personality than those three and more fun to be around too. _________________
