Well you manage to avoid the first corner chaos or the confusion that can come from racing in a pack so I would say you did gain an unfair advantage that could allow you to put in a much faster first lap which could allow you to take the lead. Even starting 5 secs late can give you a significant advantage over everyone being unsighted by other drivers.
Late starting is late starting whatever way you cut it an advantage is gained. |
Actually...
If I latestart for about 1 or 2 seconds, then I end up in the first corner chaos... If i race normally I never see any of em again 
Unless it's Bboy of course..

can`t we have a control `key` that all the forum can press that says mad laps doesn`t like l8 starter`s ( (like /whateva) with a warning. lock it with a code so only this forum knows it). cos at least 1 regular will be on at any 1 time, that way peeps might be scared into thinking that there always being watched!! and, not be tempted into l8 starting.

I occasionally late start, either if I join i'll just start when i get join (which will sometimes be within 30 secs of race start) or if I turtle/fly off the track i'll restart.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that! |

Tom problem is a lot of other people do think there is something wrong with it. If you turtle or make a cock up the person who races 3 clean laps isn't being rewarded with the win because you just restart. I understand you don't have a problem with it but you should also understand other people do.
It doesn't really matter now anyway the respawning system makes it a little fairer if you turtle as you're knocked back to the last checkpoint and in a sense penalised by going back up the track a but and losing momentum but you're still in the race.
